Dear Parent/Guardian,
The Central New Jersey Council, BSA is committed to ensuring that your son has the best time possible at
the 2010 National Jamboree. All registered scouts have been assigned to a Jamboree Troop. If you have not already done so, you should soon be meeting your Scoutmaster and the other scouts assigned to your troop. Please ensure that the on-line registration has been completed, print the confirmation, have it signed by your Scoutmaster and forwarded it to the Council office.
Personal Medical forms will be e-mailed to each registered person starting around the end of July. These forms will be bar-coded specifically for each participant. You cannot share a form with another registrant or use a generic health form, you must use the form provided by e-mail from the National office. Please follow the schedule that you will be provided for having these forms filled out by the parent and physician and returned to the Jamboree Scoutmaster.
We are well into our payment schedule. At this point, we have essentially committed the full $1,500 each for 252 youths and we must make regular payments to the National office on behalf of your child. We are also receiving, and paying on time, significant invoices for such things as equipment and transportation reservations, etc. Although most of you have been making your payments on time, it is essential that now all of you do so, so that we will have sufficient cash flow to pay our bills on time. Please note the following policy:
1) The late fees for payments 1 through 4 have been forgiven. If you paid the late fee for payments 1 through 4, those fees will be applied to your balance.
2) Payment #5 is due June 30, 2009. We will be re-instituting the late fees with the June payment. If your payment is not postmarked by the late date on your coupon, you will be assessed the $15.00 late fee.
3) The contingent is now full and we are asking all scouts to be current with their payments by June 30, 2009. We will be assessed a significant late fee per scout if we are late with our payment. Therefore, it is critical that we receive your payments according to the payment schedule.
4) If your child decides not to attend the Jamboree, you cannot receive a refund until there is a replacement for him. If there is no one on the waiting list, it is in your best interest to assist with finding a replacement.
5) Youths that fall behind in payments are subject to being replaced by someone from the waiting list.
If you have any questions, please contact your Jamboree Scoutmaster directly.
Best Regards,
Kathy Brooks

Subject: 2010 Jamboree Reminders
Scouters,
This message is just a reminder that the first 2010 National Jamboree payment of $150.00 is due 10/31/08. Payment coupons were mailed to each one of you in the beginning of October. If you did not receive your coupons, please contact me as soon as possible so I can send you a new set. The payment due on October 31, 2008 should be mailed to our current office location at 4315 UH Highway 1 South, Monmouth Junction, NJ 08852. All future payments should be mailed to our new address, located on the reverse of the payment coupons.
Quite a few of you have completed the on-line registration process, thank you. However, very few of you have returned the registration confirmation with your scoutmaster signature. Please return that to my attention as soon as possible. I am required to confirm your registration with National, but cannot until I receive the scoutmaster signature.
If you have not completed the on-line registration process, please go to www.scouting.org. Click on My Scouting at the top of the screen. Create an account, if you do not already have one. Please do not set this account up in your son’s name. The account must be in an adult’s name. After you have logged in, click on Event Registration on the left hand side of the screen. Select the 2010 National Jamboree and complete as requested. There is a $10 registration fee to be paid on-line. Please print the registration confirmation and have your scoutmaster sign it and return it to my attention. The on-line registration is required and your scout will not be allowed to attend the Jamboree if this step is not completed.
Thank you for your time and please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Sept. 1, 2008:
Please complete your registration online or you risk losing your spot, even if you made a deposit.
Go to www.scouting.org and select the “MyScouting” tab. Once there, you will have to create a MyScouting account, if you have not already done so (you will need your son’s member ID from his membership card to do this). Once you have done this, click on “Event Reservations” on the left side of the screen, then select “Jamboree”, and then click on the third choice down, “2010 National Scout Jamboree Youth Participant Application” in order to get the process going. There is a $10.00 non-refundable fee for the on-line registration that is payable at the time of registration. This will be deducted from your child’s last Jamboree payment.
